Pat's Rubberlegs is an ugly fly but works amazingly as a stonefly imitation. Stoneflies proliferate in most trout steams and imitations can be productive most of the year. This is the new and improved version on a jig hook. This works greats as an anchor fly in larger sizes when you are dealing with faster/deep water.
These flies are tied on barbless, black nickel finished, standard length jig hooks. These hooks ride point up greatly reducing the risk of snagging and are far less stressful on fish during removal.
