The effectiveness of egg patterns cannot be overstated. They are most effective around the time spawning occurs: rainbows, browns, suckers, whitefish, etc.. nothing at all can rival egg patterns for trout and steelhead during these times. Different salmonids in different regions will produce slightly different colored eggs that will change color slowly over time. This pattern has an added tungsten bead that will help get it down. I can tie this in sizes #6-#20 In yellow/McCheese, Peach, Pink, apricot, McFly brite red, white, and chartreuse. These colors are all made with McFly foam and are dense, circular eggs.
