This super simple fly is a favorite during the hotter part of the year in the eastern US. Like the mop fly, it doesn't look like much but can lead to amazing days on the water throughout much of the season. Made with micro chenille, dubbing and thread with a black nickel tungsten bead.
These flies are tied on barbless, black nickel finished, standard length jig hooks. These hooks ride point up greatly reducing the risk of snagging and are far less stressful on fish during removal.
