A classic Perdigon pattern on a jig hook. This fly features a rust colored body with copper ultra wire ribbing, a burnt orange colored collar and a copper colored bead. A tungsten bead, barbless jig hook and a slim, epoxy coated body get this fly down fast. This Perdigon features the same rust and copper colors that are featured in a pheasant tail nymph.
These flies are tied on barbless, black nickel finished, standard length jig hooks OR barbless, black nickel finished, 1x short, wide gape jig hooks. These hooks ride point up greatly reducing the risk of snagging and are far less stressful on fish during removal.
