4 - Golden Stonefly Jig - Euro Nymphs. Best Stonefly Nymphs. Fly Fishing Flies. Colorado Fishing. Tungsten. Barbless.
$13.00
It's always a great idea to have some stonefly imitations in your fly box year-round. Stoneflies live underwater for 1-3 years before they emerge and complete their life cycle, so there are generally an abundance of them in many streams. Stoneflies are some of my personal favorite nymphs to fish because they are big and ugly, versatile, and incredibly effective. Try dead drifting deep with it as your point fly, with one or two other flies in tandem. Don't hesitate to swing and strip it like a streamer, as well.
This fly features a tail of amber goose biots, a dubbed abdomen with copper wire ribbing, brown rubber legs, and a gold tungsten bead. You have your choice of natural hare dubbing or a brighter, golden stone dubbing.
These flies are tied on barbless, black nickel finished, standard length jig hooks OR barbless, black nickel finished, 1x short, wide gape jig hooks. These hooks ride point up greatly reducing the risk of snagging and are far less stressful on fish during removal.
This listing is for 4 flies. Please message me with any questions or custom orders. I'm happy to use larger/smaller beads if desired.
